Finish What you Started

Join the fun as we countdown to the release of Finish What You Started, a quirky romanic comedy I plan to release in 2017! Here you'll find publication updates, learn how FWYS came about, and get the first peek at the creative elements as they develop. Thanks for going on this journey with me!

THE FIRST DRAFT IS DONE!

It's been a long time coming. I started writing Finish What You Started a little over two years ago. The idea for the story came to me when I was driving to work one day. At the time, I was working on two other manuscripts. I didn't have the time, energy, or focus to start another manuscript but the story wouldn't leave me alone. I had no other choice but to pick up my laptop and start the project.

After I got the initial idea down, I put the manuscript away so that I could finish Seeing Red which I published last year. It was sad to stop working on Riley and Collin's story but it gave me a chance to come back to this fun, crazy story I just have to write.

I'm so excited that several readers have copies in their hands. I can't wait to get their feedback!

IDEAS FOR CREATIVE ELEMENTS

I put my very talented graphic designer, Jenn Hernandez, to work. She designed the Seeing Red book cover and interior, and many brand elements including my logo which I LOVE.

Even though I wasn't finished with the first draft, I asked her to start brainstorming ideas for FWYS. She created lots of illustrations based on the story. While I loved the illustrations, I didn't feel like they quite captured the silly, quirky factor enough. She's playing with some new ideas, but I had to share her initial version of the book cover cause I think it's pretty awesome.

MORE IDEAS FOR CREATIVE ELEMENTS

Here are a few more illustrations by Jenn for possible use on signage or bookmarks.

You may be wondering how these images might fit into the story. Did I mention the book is quirky?
